Mary Hoot has been making "Little Works Of Art" for twenty five years. Her ability to bring a small velvet form to life is exceptional. The animals started out as gifts inspired by eighteenth century toys. The animals made the transformation from life sized to miniature when a friend requested a tiny likeness of her cat for her doll house. The collection grew from four domestic animals to over one hundred including wild and exotic animals. The simple 3 pieced creations evolved into complex animals with as many as 25 pieces used to enhance their realism. She has enjoyed a national as well as international reputation for her outstanding work. |
